Alarm Units |
TWP
Wireless Alarm Unit can be used as an alert message generator or as a remote
control. This unit sends pre-programmed
alarm/control message when unit button is pressed. The message can contain
current coordinates of the unit. TWP Wireless Alarm Unit offers considerable
advantages compared to regular one-way transmitter based Alarm Unit. Those
advantages include:
·
High reliability. Alarm
Unit permanently tests themselves and quality of communication to the system. In
case of any malfunction Alarm Unit immediately generates warning message to
system administrator.
·
No restriction in covered area size.
Extra repeater can be easily installed in order to enlarge the covered area.
·
Escalation procedure. It means that if
a message cannot be delivered to one recipient or if the recipient did not
responded back in proper time this message can be sent again to another address
according to escalation list.
·
Convenience. Alert/control message can
be easily checked and modified from an authorized Communicator or computer.
·
High security. There is no way to
delete or change a message in an Alarm Unit from unauthorized Communicator or
computer. As
any other TWP Wireless two-way unit, the Alarm Unit uses secured communication
code. Extra encryption key can be
activated in case the user needs higher security.
·
Locator Mode. Communicator that has
appropriate rights can display current distance between itself and an Alarm
Unit. It helps to discover the current
location of an Alarm
Unit in case it was moved after it sent an
alarm message.
·
Anti-theft. After an Alarm
Unit has been subscribed to a system it
cannot be used in any another one. There is no technique to change information
about the subscription. This feature makes the theft of TWP Wireless Alarm
Units useless.
“Delayed” alarm. Delay time can
be added to alarm message. Alarm Unit does not send delayed message immediately
after user pushed a button but instead it starts a timer. When time is up Alarm
Unit activates silent vibrator. If user will NOT push a button at this moment
Alarm Unit sends the message. This feature can be useful in environment where
the user can anticipate a problem and where he or she does not have possibility
to push a button when the problem actually appears, like in psychiatry
facilities.
A message can be sent to (!) Alarm
Unit to activate its vibrator and/or beeper. TWP Wireless Alarm Unit can work as
a simple Communicator! When a user pushes a button to stop vibrating/beeping,
appropriate note can be sent back to the person who send original message to
assure that this original message was personally received.
