Computer Gate |
Computer Gate connects a TWP Wireless
communication network to a personal computer or any other external device that
has RS232 or USB communication port. Computer Gate sends a message to computer
or receives a message from computer using the standard TAP protocol. When
Computer Gate receives a message from external RS232 device it transmits the
text of the message to the recipient immediately after receiving TAP check sum.
If the recipient acknowledges the message, the Computer Gate sends TAP
acknowledgment back to the computer. If the recipient rejects the message or the
recipient is out of covered area, the Computer Gate sends TAP RS response back
to the computer. A Computer Gate rejects any attempt to send a message to
external device before receiving a response to a previous message. This approach
prevents the system from overloading.
Supporting full version of Wireless
Control and Monitoring Protocol, the Computer Gate permanently tests itself and
quality of communication to the system. In case of any malfunction the Computer
Gate immediately generates a warning message to the system administrator. Like
any other TWP Wireless unit the Computer Gate uses a secured communication code.
If a user needs even higher security, a user defined encryption key can
be additionally activated.
