Power Control Unit can be plugged
into any power outlet. It switches on and off an electrical device that is
connected to them in response to a control message from any other TWP unit.
In addition to the control feature our Power Control Unit can monitor voltage,
current and power consumed by connected device. If one of parameters jumps out
of defined range the TWP wireless Power Control Unit can send a pre-programmed
warning message and/or switch power off. It can also measure the average value
of power consumed during some period. This can be helpful to alarm about
situation when, for example, a refrigerator got broken and does not consume any
power for long time or a refrigerator door has been left opened or a conditioner
is overloaded and so on. Like many other TWP Wireless units the Power
Control Unit supports the escalation procedure. It means that if a message
cannot be delivered to one recipient or if recipient did not respond back in
proper time the alarm message can be resent again to another address according
to escalation list.
